Welcome to “Moving Forward with Stan,” where we believe every great journey starts with a solid foundation. Before we dive into goal setting, we need something to build on—something that encapsulates your dreams, desires, and aspirations. And one of the best ways to start is with a bucket list.

The Bucket List: Your Gateway to Possibilities

Your bucket list is more than just a collection of things you want to do; it’s a blueprint for your dreams and the life you want to live. It encompasses:

  • Experiences you want to have
  • Things you want to own
  • Places you want to travel to
  • People you want to meet
  • Skills you want to learn
  • Careers you want to explore
  • Hobbies you want to pick up

Brainstorming Your Dreams

To create your bucket list, you’ll need some paper, a pen, and 20 minutes of uninterrupted time. In this time, we want you to brainstorm all your possibilities. Aim for 101 or more items. When I first did this exercise, I found that listing 70 things was easy, but the dreams that came after were closer to my core values and life purpose.

Writing Without Limits

As you write, don’t censor your thoughts. Push aside doubts like “I can’t do that,” “I don’t have the right education,” or “That’s too expensive.” Just write everything down. We will sort through these dreams and aspirations later. The goal is to capture your truest desires without limitation.
